Advertising Guidelines
Note**These guidelines establish the standards for all advertising permitted on our platform. Our commitment is to foster a positive, safe, and non-exploitative environment for our community. All advertisements must align with our core values of well-being, integrity, and social responsibility.
Prohibited Advertising Categories
1. Gambling & Betting
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements for casinos, sports betting, poker, lottery, bingo, or any form of real-money gambling or games of chance.
Includes: Fantasy sports with cash prizes, cryptocurrency trading framed as gambling, and promotional content for gambling platforms.
2. Cosmetics & Plastic Surgery
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements for cosmetic products (e.g., makeup, skincare, anti-aging), elective plastic surgery, or non-reconstructive aesthetic procedures.
Includes: All cosmetic procedures (including for the purposes of practicing gender), injectables (Botox, fillers), body modification promotions, and clinics or practitioners specializing in these areas. This extends to "aesthetic medicine" and "wellness" clinics whose primary service is cosmetic enhancement.
3. Commercial Reproductive Services
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements for commercial surrogacy services, egg donation agencies, sperm banks, or fertility clinics marketing these specific services.
Note: Educational content about reproductive health from non-commercial, certified health organizations may be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, provided it is informational and not promotional for a specific service.
4. Fast Fashion
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements for brands or retailers whose business model is predicated on rapid production cycles, ultra-low cost, and the significant consumption of disposable clothing.
Criteria for Evaluation: Brands will be assessed based on sustainability reports, production transparency, garment quality/longevity, and industry recognition for ethical practices. "Haul" culture and trend-centric, disposable marketing are prohibited.
5. Religious & Spiritual Proselytization
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements from religious organizations, churches, temples, mosques, or spiritual groups aimed at conversion, recruitment, or promotion of specific faith-based doctrines.
Includes: Promotions for religious events, campaigns, or materials. Advertisements for non-religious community services (e.g., a food bank open to all) may be considered if devoid of religious messaging.
6. Military Recruitment
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements from any national military, armed forces, or defense departments aimed at recruitment.
Includes: Reserve forces, national guard, and related civilian defense roles.
7. Anti-Abortion Services & Advocacy
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements from crisis pregnancy centers, anti-abortion advocacy groups, or campaigns whose primary purpose is to dissuade individuals from seeking abortion or to promote an anti-abortion viewpoint.
Note: Neutral, factual public health information from governmental bodies is not covered by this prohibition.
8. Dating & Relationships
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements for dating apps, websites, matchmaking services, or relationship coaching outside of approved inter-community and same-sex events.
9. Weight-Loss & Body-Shaping Products/Services
Complete Prohibition: No advertisements for products, supplements, medications, procedures, or programs primarily marketed for weight loss, fat burning, or body shaping/countouring.
Explicitly Includes:
Diet pills, appetite suppressants, "fat-burning" supplements, detox/cleanses for weight loss, and meal replacement shakes marketed for weight loss.
Non-surgical "body sculpting" procedures (e.g., CoolSculpting, EMSCULPT), lipolysis injections, or weight-loss injections (unless advertised by a certified healthcare entity under strict medical criteria—see exception below).
Weight-loss clinics, programs, or coaching services that promise specific weight or clothing size reduction.
Before-and-after imagery centered on weight loss or body shape change.
General Wellness & Nutrition: Advertising for whole foods, nutritional education, or fitness services (e.g., gym memberships, yoga classes) is permitted only if the messaging is focused on holistic health, strength, energy, or mental well-being, not on weight loss, slimming, or body transformation. Language must be neutral and body-positive.
Medical Treatment: Advertisements from licensed, certified healthcare providers or institutions for FDA-/EMA-approved pharmaceutical treatments for clinically diagnosed obesity may be considered. Such ads must be factual, avoid sensationalism, target appropriate audiences medically, and include all required safety information. They require pre-approval and elevated scrutiny.
10. Illegal Goods, Services, or Activities
No advertisements for any product, service, or activity that is illegal in the geographic region where the ad is being served, or that promotes or facilitates illegal conduct.
Explicitly Includes:
Drugs, narcotics, paraphernalia, or controlled substances (where not legally permitted for sale via advertising).
Fraudulent services, hacking tools, counterfeit goods, or academic cheating.
Unlicensed firearms, weapons, or explosives.
Stolen goods or illegal transaction facilitation.
Any service that violates human rights or international law.
General Advertising Principles
All permitted advertisements must also adhere to these universal standards:
Truthfulness & Substantiation: All claims must be honest, accurate, and capable of verification.
Respect & Dignity: Must not degrade, objectify, or stereotype individuals or groups.
Alignment With Network Values: Must not platform sexist, gynophobic, or otherwise misogynistic content, policies, politics, or platforms.
Safety: Must not promote dangerous or threatening behaviors or products.
Data Privacy: Must comply with all applicable data protection and privacy laws. We do not allow advertisements to be placed with companies that practice databrokering.
Targeting: Prohibited categories may not be indirectly targeted through overly broad or abstract campaigns.
Review & Enforcement Process
Pre-Approval: All new advertisers and major campaigns are subject to manual review against these guidelines.
Automated & User Reporting: Ads are continuously monitored through automated systems and user feedback.
Violation Consequences: Ads found in violation will be immediately removed. Repeated violations will result in advertiser contract suspension or permanent termination.
Appeals: A formal appeals process is available for advertisers who believe their content was incorrectly assessed.
Blacklisting: Any abuse of the Appeals process, such as repeatedly submitting rejected advertisements will result in a blacklist and automatic rejection of requests through an automated system.
These guidelines are designed to be clear and are strictly enforced. We reserve the right to update them as needed to uphold our community standards.
All advertisers, by virtue of partnering with our female-focused platform, are contractually bound by a separate Advertiser Agreement that includes a strict non-sexism and anti-misogyny clause, ensuring all content is respectful and appropriate for our audience.**
Clause for Advertiser Agreement: Commitment to a Non-Sexist, Anti-Misogyny Environment
By submitting advertising content to this platform, you, the Advertiser, hereby affirm and agree to the following:
Core Commitment: You warrant that your advertising content, including all copy, imagery, video, audio, and targeting parameters, shall be created for and respectful of a female audience. It must not contain, promote, or condone sexism or misogyny.
Prohibited Content & Messaging: This includes, but is not limited to, content that:
Objectifies Womyn: Depicts womyn or girls primarily as decorative objects or reduces them to their physical attributes for commercial appeal.
Relies on Harmful Sex-Based Stereotypes: Uses regressive tropes that suggest womyn are inherently less competent, rational, or suited for leadership, financial, technical, or professional roles.
Promotes Misogyny: Mocks, degrades, vilifies, or expresses hatred or contempt towards womyn or girls.
Undermines Female Autonomy: Portrays womyn as incapable of making independent decisions or frames their value as solely derivative of their relationship to others (e.g., solely as wives, mothers, or caretakers).
Uses Demeaning Language: Employs slang, terminology, or tone that is patronizing, derogatory, or sexually harassing towards women.
Positive Representation: Advertising is encouraged to portray womyn with dignity, as fully realized individuals with agency, diverse interests, and professional and personal authority.
Consequences for Breach: Any advertisement found to be in material violation of this clause will be subject to immediate removal. A breach is grounds for the termination of your advertising agreement and permanent suspension of your account, without refund of any prepaid funds, at our sole discretion.
Ongoing Obligation: This commitment applies to all advertising campaigns run on this platform.
Your acceptance of our Advertising Terms of Service constitutes your explicit agreement to this clause.
